Terms & Conditions

The Chacal (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a fan-made analytics tool for fantasy football leagues. You give us a public league ID from Sleeper or Fleaflicker, and we pull that league's public data — scores, rosters, standings, and trade history — to generate dashboards, records, head-to-head stats, and playoff/luck simulations.

The App is provided for entertainment and informational purposes. It is a hobby project, not a commercial product, and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Sleeper, Fleaflicker, the NFL, or any team or league referenced within it.

By loading a league into the App, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

We only read public league data exposed by Sleeper's and Fleaflicker's public APIs (league settings, matchups, rosters, transactions). We never ask for, collect, or store your Sleeper or Fleaflicker password, and the App does not require you to create an account or log in to any platform.

League data you sync is cached in our database so pages load quickly and we don't hammer Sleeper's or Fleaflicker's servers on every visit. This cached data (scores, team/owner names as they appear on the source platform, trades, etc.) may persist until it is refreshed or removed.

If you use the contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit, solely to respond to you. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Stats, records, “luck” and playoff-odds simulations, and every other number in the App are computed from third-party data we don't control and may be incomplete, delayed, or wrong. Don't rely on the App as the sole basis for any decision (fantasy trades, lineup calls, arguments with your commissioner, or otherwise). We make no warranty about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of anything shown.

You agree not to:

• Use the App to abuse, scrape, or excessively hit Sleeper's or Fleaflicker's APIs beyond normal use of the sync feature;
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the App or the systems behind it;
• Use the App for anything unlawful, or to harass, defame, or impersonate others (friendly league trash talk excepted);
• Submit false, misleading, or malicious content through the contact form.

The App depends on Sleeper and Fleaflicker being available and returning accurate data. We're not responsible for their outages, rate limits, data errors, or changes to their APIs, and use of those platforms is governed by their own terms of service, not ours.

Team names, league names, owner names, and any logos or branding pulled from Sleeper or Fleaflicker belong to their respective owners or platforms. The App's own code, design, and original content belong to us. Nothing here grants you rights to reuse the App's code or branding outside of normal use of the site.

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App — including losses related to fantasy football decisions made based on its data.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, without notice, since this is a hobby project maintained on a best-effort basis.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
